Replace changes what is inside an area of the image and keeps the rest intact: flowers instead of a stone, an added accessory, a different material. You paint the area, you describe what should appear, and Seelab takes care of the seams.

Replace an element

1. Open the image in the editor and choose Replace in the toolbar.
2. Paint the area to change. Adjust the brush size in the right panel.
3. Describe what should appear in the prompt bar, at the bottom.
4. Set Image count to get several proposals.
5. Launch, compare the proposals and keep the best one.

The settings

• Invert mask: Replace acts on everything except the painted area. Useful for changing the whole setting while protecting just one object.
• Select a model: to the right of the prompt bar, choose a Seelab model to insert your exact product. See Insert your product with your Seelab model.
• Background: Replace background changes the whole setting around the subject; Remove background cuts it out. See Replace or remove the background.
• Image count: the number of proposals generated at once.

Write the prompt

• Describe what should appear, not the action: "a bunch of wildflowers" rather than "add flowers".
• Keep it short: the prompt only applies to the painted area.
• Specify the lighting if needed, so the element blends into the scene: "lit from the left, soft shadow".

If nothing changes

• Enlarge the painted area: a mask that is too tight leaves little room for the new element.
• Rephrase the prompt more simply, then launch again.
