Reframe: every format

You have a square hero visual, and now you need a web banner, a story and a landscape format. Reframe extends the image beyond its edges to fit the format you want, without distorting or regenerating it.

Change format

  1. Open the image in the editor and choose Reframe.
  2. Choose the format: Standard, 1:1, 9:16, 16:9, or free width and height. The green frame shows the new area.
  3. Position the image in the frame.
  4. Describe the environment to extend in the prompt bar: material, lighting, mood.
  5. Set Image count, launch, and keep the best proposal.

The green frame shows the new area to generate

Example: a portrait image converted to 16:9 (1920 × 1080), with the prompt:

minimalist waxed-concrete bathroom, soft window light, white linens and eucalyptus

The original image extended to landscape format

Useful for:

  • turning a hero visual into a web banner, a story or a social square;
  • leaving space around the product for text or a logo;
  • getting the exact dimensions required by an ad network or a website.

Tips

  • Describe the existing setting rather than a new one: "continuation of the travertine shelf, same lighting".
  • Position the subject where you want it in the final format before launching.
  • Then upscale with Magnify if the final format must be high definition.

Glossary

  • Outpainting: extending an image beyond its edges.
  • Reframe prompt: the description of the setting to extend.
  • Image count: the number of proposals generated.
