A distracting reflection, an extra object, a speck of dust on the product: Clean erases them with a brush stroke and rebuilds the background behind them. No prompt needed.

Erase an element in three steps

1. Paint the area. Adjust the brush size and cover the whole element, with a small margin around it.
2. Click Clean.
3. Compare and keep. The result appears as a preview with a before / after comparison. Add to collection, Download, or edit to keep retouching.

Useful for:

• removing a stray object, text or logo;
• cleaning up dust, a scratch or a reflection on a product;
• simplifying a busy setting before rolling it out in other formats.

Tips

• Paint wide: a mask that slightly overlaps the element gives a cleaner result than a mask that is too tight.
• Work in small areas when there are several elements to remove, chaining with edit.
• To replace the element with something else, use Replace instead. See Replace: change an element.
