# The canvas, Inspector and sections

The Workflow screen brings together everything you need to build a production line: the component library on the left, the canvas in the center, the selected node's settings on the right.

# The areas of the screen

1. **Workflow panel**: **History**, **Download**, **Import**, **New workflow**, **Share with the project** and **Run all**.
2. **Components**: the node library, grouped by family: Source, Tools, Create, Edit, Export, Variables. See [Component reference](https://help.seelab.ai/en/article/component-reference-1qkc00k/).
3. **Toolbar**: zoom, undo, reorganize, sections and notes.
4. **Inspector**: the selected node's settings and the list of sections.
5. **AI editing**: describe a change, for example "add a 1:1 format", then **Edit**.

# Add and connect nodes

* **Drag a component** onto the canvas, or click it: it is added to the center.
* **When a node is selected**, compatible components are highlighted and connect automatically.
* **Connect the nodes** by dragging a link from a node's output (on the right) to the next node's input (on the left).

# Set up a node in the Inspector

![A selected video node and its settings in the Inspector](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/6/8/0/3/6803ea00be5f5800/07-03workflowinspector_1lnp375.jpg =600xauto)

Click a node: its settings open in the **Inspector**. For a creation node, you find:

* **Prompt order**: the order in which incoming prompts are combined;
* the model, format, resolution, duration and sound, depending on the node;
* **Execution summary**: a recap of what the node will produce.

| Set up your nodes from left to right, starting from the sources: each node inherits what comes from upstream.

# Organize the canvas in sections

A **section** groups several nodes, for example "Packshots" then "Format variations". Each section runs on its own with **Run section**: you validate one step without running the whole workflow again. The list of sections is shown in the Inspector.

**Notes** add a comment on the canvas, to explain a setting to your colleagues.

# Glossary

* **Canvas**: the space where you place and connect nodes.
* **Inspector**: the settings panel for the selected node.
* **Section**: a group of nodes that can be run at once.
